- Are women the key to community resilience?
- How do women find ways to build resilience on their own?
- What are the factors of individual resilience?
A whole series of questions that our experts will try to answer on April 8th 2024 from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. at the conference Les résiliences des femmes, des filles et des communautés face aux violences basées sur le genre (The resilience of women, girls and communities facing gender-based violence), at the Maison du développement durable in Montreal.
In addition, from April 4th to 26th 2024, the international exhibition SAKIFE: Santé des femmes au Kivu, by Belgian documentary photographer Christophe Smets, will be on show at the Maison du développement durable. The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the situation of women in Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and highlights the daily lives of women living in precarious conditions who have suffered sexual violence at the hands of armed groups. Access to healthcare is also addressed.
Free admission / exhibition opening times: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
