Minister Caroline Désir's successful mission to Quebec

The Minister of Education of the Wallonia - Brussels Federation, Mrs. Caroline Désir, was on mission in Quebec from 23 to 26 October, 2023. During her mission, Minister Désir had the opportunity to discuss several topics of common interest with Quebec, including: 

  • Promoting the teaching profession;
  • Inclusion of children with disabilities;
  • Second language teaching;
  • The fight against early school leaving.

This mission gave her the opportunity to exchange views with Quebec authorities, including the Quebec Minister of Education, Mr Bernard Drainville. She also met several professionals who shared their experience and expertise in this field. 

 

On October 24, an official reception was held at the General Delegation Wallonia-Brussels in Quebec City, in the presence of many partners from the fields of education, international relations and the French-speaking world.
Including: 

  • Mr. Yann Gall, General Delegate Wallonia-Brussels in Quebec;
  • The Hon. J. Michel Doyon, Lieutenant Governor of Quebec;
  • Ms Nathalie Roy, President of the National Assembly of Quebec;
  • Mr. Alain Sans Cartier, Deputy Minister in the Ministry of International Relations and Francophonie of Quebec
